Well, he's almost here! And we've chosen a name (as you can tell)! May 28 is our revised birthdate, and we can't wait to meet him. Alli's enduring a lot of contractions now and he seems like he's ready to be here, but we hope Keller can hang on for the remaining couple of weeks... every day counts! The plan's still pretty much the same - that is, he'll be born into the NICU at Vidant, come home with us for a little while, and after a couple of months we'll head to Duke for his heart surgery.
Norah's starting to talk about her new baby brother, but let's be honest - I doubt she really gets it. She's two, after all. :) We can't wait to see what her reaction is to the new kid on the block...
Our house is also under contract (hooray!) and if all goes well, we'll be moving the week after the birth (ahhhhhhhhh). The timing is a bit insane for us to get a handle on, so we appreciate your prayers in this. We'll continue to lean on you guys and your offers to help as we take it one day at a time.
We are overwhelmed by your love and support right now, and I have to take a moment to thank you! There's an army of people that love Keller even though you (like us) haven't met him yet and it's beyond anything I've experienced in my life. The emotional, financial and spiritual support you've given us is hard for me to adequately describe, but it has turned out to be vital already... God has loved on us so tremendously through you. Thank you for walking with us in this!
We've created this site in the hopes that it'll help you stay connected and informed about how Keller's doing, and to document the journey as best we can. We'll do our best to keep it updated; so for any updates, consider this the most current source. Also, I've been asked a few times now to come up with an online way to help financially - if you feel led to do so, just use the Donate button on this site or click here. Using this method, all money goes directly to his needs via our PayPal account.
Finally... we do take each day at a time, and I'm sure things are about to "get real" as a friend put it recently, but I'll tell you this: we feel His presence. There are moments where situations overwhelm, but His peace is an actual, tangible reality.
Keller is in the strong and capable hands of the King... and He's got this.
